It's Christmas Day was the first ever song to be played, over the sound system at George Square in Glasgow, that wasn't on a major compilation album

At the time of release, it was played by radio stations all over Scotland including Radio Clyde,West Sound,Radio Forth and BBC Radio Scotland.

Ken Bruce (now BBC Radio 2) played It's Christmas Day at least 3 times on his radio show.

The song was featured more than once on BBC TV's Reporting Scotland and was the last item to feature on the programme that year before Christmas

Both Radio Clyde and BBC Radio Scotland featured interviews with members of Balfron Primary School that year.
